DRINK GOOD, DO GOOD

7th Day Brewery operates with a combined importance of creating excellent beer and a whole hearted involvement within our local community. We rose from the dust by the help of the community through crowd funding, so we promote this idea of giving back and doing good. This idea of local support has shaped the brand, and knowing this makes us who we are.

Featured below are some of the organisations we’ve collaborated with/ or causes we’ve supported.

COLDIES FOR THE RFS - January 2020

During the devastating months of early 2020 when the Australian bushfires tore their way through the country, day in and day out we saw countless efforts of support and help going out to those who were affected. In the midst of such a national crisis the mass of Australian community shared love, empathy, hope, facts and solutions in any way they could.

On Saturday the 11th of January 7th Day Brewery extended an invitation to the wider community to come together over drinks, music and food to collectively raise funds for the Brewery’s local Beacon Hill Rural Fire Service.

With $2 donated from every drink sold, a gold coin red frog guessing jar and countless donation tins around the venue, with the help from everyone involved, 7th Day Brewery raised enough money on the night to buy new equipment to enhance the service they provide to the community and to put on a community bbq for all their families and friends for the efforts and time that went into the months of work on the front line . #drinkgooddogood

“Do what you love, help along the way”

This non for profit organisation dedicates their time to providing clean water to those who don’t have access to this fundamental human right. With similar giving values and infinity with the ocean, on November the 16th Waves for Water & 7th Day Brewery bought together the Northern Beaches surf community and local dogooders for a massive fundraising event held at the Brewery itself. With many participators and contributors for the event, including Mentawai Daze, Hurley, Hugo’s Manly, Manly Surf School and many more, there were raffle prizes donated, pro skate boarders and artists performing live and screen printed shirts on offer with all proceeds going to the Waves for Water organisation. With approx.. 600 attendees and a lot more online donaters, as a collective we raised enough to provide 550 filtration systems internationally. One filtration system can provide 100 people with clean water for up to 5 years, and it wouldn’t have happened without the support from the local community ! #drinkgooddogood

THE CLIMATE CYCLE PROJECT - 3rd August

On August the 3rd 2019, two passionate climate enthusiasts Jes & Jane, held an informational fundraiser at 7th Day Brewery before they set off on a week long bicycle ride around Iceland on environmentally sustainable bamboo bikes. The money was raised for the Australian Marine Conservation Society and was to empower communities to take positive action against climate change. The launch fundraising event successfully raised awareness of our earth’s ongoing climate issues and a successful amount of funds helped them undertake their trip. #drinkgooddogood

FRAGILE XPA AWARENESS LAUNCH - 4TH JULY 2019

Raising Fragile X awareness one 7th Day Brewery XPA at a time.

Founded by a local family, nearby in the heart of Brookvale, lies a non for profit organisation spreading awareness of the often unknown medical illness known as Fragile X disorder. Fragile X disorder is a family of inherited conditions including a wide range of physical, intellectual and behavioural symptoms. Fragile x Association offers information, support, education, advocacy and referrals to individuals who are impacted by Fragile X-associated disorders and to their families, carers and health and disability service providers. Read more here.

In attempt to do our part in raising awareness and funds for this association, we held a Fragile X awareness event on the 4th of July and rebranded our XPA as Fragile XPA for the entire month of July and donated $1 of every pint sold directly to the foundation.

With a successful night of informational talks, community music and food and beer, 7th Day Brewery and Fragile X association we sold approx. 680 pints with all proceeds sent directly to the foundation. #drinkgooddogood
